This web site has been designed
to show you our miniature horses and with a view into farm life on the Falklands.
Main Point is located on the North coast of West Falkland. We have a lot
of coast line on our farm and think it is a rather beautiful place to live
but we could be biased! Main Point Farm is over 17,000 acres. We run around
5000 sheep, mainly of Polwarth breed, which are bred for wool. In
recent years it has been possible to sell a few sheep to the abattoir
which is another welcome income to farmers. Although our main income
is from the wool. We run around 70 cattle, a few of which we milk by hand
but they are mainly kept for beef. We also breed and sell
Miniature Horses, which we first imported, to the Falklands from England
in 1997. We are agents for Dodson & Horrell Ltd and import and sell their
animal feed. See our links page.
